Mutual support for food and livelihood secutity, through permaculture design

Mutual support for food and livelihood security is of utmost importance, especially in times of uncertainty. It is essential to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food and stable livelihoods that can sustain them and their families. By working together and supporting one another, we can build resilient communities that can face various challenges with confidence. The food and livelihood security of individuals is interconnected, and we need to acknowledge this fact to achieve sustainable solutions. It is also necessary to address the root causes of food and livelihood insecurity, such as poverty, inequality, and climate change, to build lasting change. By prioritizing mutual support and collaboration, we can strengthen food and livelihood security and create a more equitable and sustainable future for all.

"Change come from edges," states Permaculture Principle 11, and since S39 first began teaching in refugee communities, it became apparent that there is real leadership and innovation going on in the settlement areas. Refugees United aims to bring together some of these pioneers for mutual support and sharing of best practices and to show leadership in world of changes and challenges.
